Weight Check

This morning I took Harper for another weight check. I asked the nurse what the goal weight was for her at this stage. She said they were looking for her to have gained back to her birth weight, 6 lbs 12 oz, or beyond. Harper weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz! I thought for sure we would be able to take her off the 22 calorie formula and drop back down to a regular 20 calorie, but after consulting with the pediatrician, she wants to keep her on the increased diet for another week. We will return next Thursday for yet another weight check. In the meantime, Harper's Memaw had ordered a baby scale to keep me from getting too worked up in the time between weight checks. Just for the record, my cat Oliver weighed in at 15 lbs ;)



It is hard to believe Harper has only been with us for three short weeks as of 2:23 tomorrow afternoon. Already she has been given a nickname by her big brother and big sister, Harps. This little girl has overcome so many obstacles in such a short anount of time and continues to thrive and grow. We are still so amazed by all of the support and love this little girl has across the country. From California to Georgia, Tennessee to Virginia, Washington to South Carolina, Arkansas to North Carolina and many other places in between, people have been lifting her up with their prayers and there aren't words to express our gratitude for them all!
