Daddy just called to report she took an entire feeding through the bottle last night. She took 20ml for Jacob and after a 5-10 min break, the remainder of the 20ml for the physical therapist. He also reported what great diapers she had (yes, that is just as important too) and even got her Daddy good. He was in the middle of changing one, removed the diaper and she wasn't quite done. Quick lesson learned for Dad. She even woke her Daddy once with her gentle cry to let him know she had managed to pull her sunnies (goggles which go over her eyes while under the lamps) off and some of the taped Velcro on the side of her face as well. She is a strong little girl in so many ways.
He also mentioned we will be meeting with a social worker who will provide us with a wealth of information on DS and introduced him to the Easter Seals organization which will be a great resource in the future.
I hope she gets plenty of rest while she can as we are all ready to spend some quality time with our little munchkin and there are a few new faces who are looking forward to meeting her today as well.
